In-Situ Testing, 3 credit hours — Field testing and sampling of geomaterials, primarily soils and rocks. Introduces methods of drilling, probing, and in-situ measurement of soils for determining stratigraphy and engineering parameters for analysis, including soil borings, cone penetration tests, pressuremeter, dilatometer, and other tests.
