Infrared Tech/Apps-Open Access — In the Infrared Technology and Applications - Open Access course, you will explore infrared systems engineering with an emphasis on military systems. Examine problem-solving, design, and analysis techniques with emphasis on experience-based rules of thumb and develop a perspective for assessing the promise of new infrared technologies. Not only will you gain an understanding of how infrared and electro-optical systems operate, but also key physical principles, performance limitations of current infrared systems, issues pacing the development of new systems, and key component technologies.
