Intro to Laser Radar — Vehicles, buildings, and terrain targets are all of great interest to the military and intelligence communities. Laser radar (LADAR) is an active remote sensing technique with many applications, and is used to acquire environmental data, including polar ice cap thickness and forest biomass. In this Introduction to Laser Radar course, learners will gain an understanding of this essential technology. You will learn about active remote sensing systems, such as the various types of laser radar, their main components, and their performance limitations to apply to real scenarios in the field.
