Lead Competent Person — This six-hour course will provide employees with the skills and capabilities needed to comply with the OSHA Lead Construction Standard and the resources necessary to develop a plan of action for minimizing employee exposures and cleanup of contaminated jobsites. Students will receive a comprehensive review of the OSHA regulation as well as training on the health effects of exposure to lead and how to protect workers from the hazards of exposure. Interactive training will allow students to gain the knowledge needed to assure the effectiveness of their organization’s compliance program and to understand the requirements and responsibilities related performing the competent person duties.
