EXCEL Communicat/Self-Advocacy — Communication and Self-Advocacy is a one-semester class where you will develop your conflict-resolution skills and practice the action of expressing and representing their views and interests. This class will employ a variety of methods, including improvisation, group discussion, and lecture in a traditional classroom setting to explore a variety of situations in relation to problem solving and conflict resolution. Several self-discovery techniques will be explored to help guide you to your preferred method of self-advocacy, as the course curriculum not only covers views and interests, but also laws and rights.
