LOG5101P [at Georgia Tech]

Pre-Course LOG 5001P — Delivering sustainable solutions for public health and humanitarian events is generally impacted by dynamic and hard-to-measure factors such as geographic location, social and political conditions, as well as local economy and infrastructure. Mapping long-term development efforts and responding to healthcare or humanitarian challenges often involves uncertainty in timing, scope, or scale. Pre-planning for these efforts requires an understanding of various topics such as forecasting, distribution, network design, and inventory management. This course will examine methods and models for making pre-planning decisions and explore the significant value that is obtained through informed decision-making in advance of an unpredictable event or long-term strategy for sustaining wellness.
